Developing the branding of an Oxfordshire Food & Drink Festival
The Banbury Food Fair has been a popular event on the food festival circuit for years. Thousands of visitors attend the festival each year. Now in its ninth year, the organisers, Banbury Town Council felt that it needed a refresh to reflect the type of event it had become. The festival is now larger than ever with more varied stalls and a wider catchment area of Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and the Cotswolds.
We were very happy to be asked to develop the brand design for a food and drink festival in our home town. Working on this project was a pleasure for the Toast Food team.
The first thing we did was to suggest a change of name from the Banbury Food Fair to Banbury Food & Drink Festival. The reason being that it's more representative of the offerings on show now. But also to make it more competitive with other food and drink festivals around the country, which are getting more popular and therefore competitive each year.
We also felt that the styling needed to be more eye-catching and professional to reflect how well organised the event is. This would help to attract stallholders and exhibitors as well as visitors on the day, who can travel for many miles.
Toast Food created a fresh look for the Banbury Food & Drink Food Festival branding. The end result is an eye-catching and clear design that reflects what the festival is today. The design is now adaptable and versatile, which means it can consistently work across a range of applications from promotional posters and vinyl banners, and from social-media graphics and website imagery.
We look forward to developing the new branding in the future and helping the Banbury Food & Drink Festival to grow and meet its potential.
